SANCTIONS
A sanction is an action taken against a provider for various reasons. Reasons may include revocation, suspension, or termination of licensing or ability to prescribe medications. Other reasons may be for healthcare payment fraud or other reasons which may prohibit the provider from accepting federal or state funds for providing healthcare services, except in emergencies. Listed below are links to agencies which lists on a routine basis providers who have had adverse actions taken against them. Also provided is a link which indicates whether a provider has opted out of accepting Medicare patients.
